Mexico City, April 9, 2025<\/em> \u2014 As part of the Mexican Film Industry FAM Trip<\/strong> organized by the National Chamber of the Cinematographic Industry (CANACINE)<\/strong>, the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles<\/strong>, and the Motion Picture Association (MPA)<\/strong>, EFD Studios<\/strong> reaffirmed its commitment to innovation<\/strong>, sustainability<\/strong>, and international collaboration<\/strong> in the audiovisual sector.<\/p>\n During a tour of Stage 4 at Estudios Churubusco<\/strong>, Mauricio Van Hasselt<\/strong>, Director of Production and Innovation at EFD Studios<\/strong>, gave a presentation highlighting that EFD Studios<\/strong> is now one of the 10 largest film equipment rental companies in the world<\/strong>, with operations in Mexico, Colombia, Spain, and the United States<\/strong>. He also shared insights into the company\u2019s unique infrastructure, which includes in-house carpentry, metalwork, electrical, and costume workshops, along with a highly skilled and certified technical crew.<\/p>\n “One of the key pillars that guide our mission is the intersection of education, diversity, and sustainability,”<\/strong> Van Hasselt emphasized.<\/p>\n In line with this mission, EFD Studios<\/strong> maintains a long-term vision for environmental improvement<\/strong>, investing in research and development of sustainable technologies<\/strong>, while prioritizing ongoing training<\/strong> for both its staff and the production teams it partners with.<\/p>\n “Our sustainability efforts go beyond the set,”<\/em><\/strong> Van Hasselt added. “We choose to work with vendors who share this commitment, actively reduce their carbon footprint, and align with our code of conduct and corporate values.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Representatives from leading studios including HBO-Warner Bros Discovery, Amazon MGM Studios, Netflix, CBS Studios, and The Walt Disney Company<\/strong>, among others, toured various stations where EFD Studios<\/strong> showcased its One Stop Shop ecosystem<\/strong>, which integrates comprehensive solutions in imaging, technology, and operations.<\/strong><\/p>\n Highlights included cutting-edge tools such as the Technodolly<\/strong> (the only one of its kind in Mexico and among the few operational units in Latin America), the Technocrane<\/strong>, virtual production screens<\/strong>, Bolt and Bolt Jr. robotic arms<\/strong>, ARRI Alexa 35 cameras<\/strong>, Fisher 10 and 11 dolly systems<\/strong>, remote heads<\/strong>, and Vintage Glass lenses<\/strong> presented by cinematographer Serguei Sald\u00edvar, AMC<\/strong>. Clean energy alternatives<\/strong> like electric batteries<\/strong> were also featured as sustainable options for on-set use. Each station was staffed by expert technicians<\/strong> who provided real-time demonstrations<\/strong> and answered questions.<\/p>\n In addition to its most representative tech lineup, EFD Studios<\/strong> also presented highlights from some of the most iconic productions it has supported, including Roma<\/em> (2018, Alfonso Cuar\u00f3n), Bardo<\/em> (2022, Alejandro Gonz\u00e1lez I\u00f1\u00e1rritu), Apocalypto<\/em> (2006, Mel Gibson), 007: Spectre<\/em> (2015, Sam Mendes), Y Tu Mam\u00e1 Tambi\u00e9n<\/em> (2001, Alfonso Cuar\u00f3n), Bad Boys for Life<\/em> (2020, Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah), and many more, reaffirming the trust that major national and international productions have placed<\/strong> in the studio\u2019s experience and technology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n During the tour, Eduardo Ter\u00e1n<\/strong>, a member of the EFD Studios Board of Directors<\/strong>, addressed the guests with a warm message:<\/p>\n “At EFD Studios, we\u2019ve got you covered.
